GK said thanked all who took part in the Dec. 30 pancake Breakfast which he said went well, with new self-serve and added menu items. He added that the new ovens and griddle worked great.
GK reminded all that the Council will host Coffee and Doughnuts after Masses on Feb. 3. The next Pancake Breakfast is set for March 31.
GK reminded all that the Knights’ State Convention will be held in Orlando May 25 and 26, and that our Council needs two delegates and two alternates. Brothers Jose Cedeno and Rob Smith volunteered to be delegates, with Brother Ralph Marshall as an alternate. Brother Mike Masterson made a motion for the Council to pay for two rooms at a cost of $197 each for delegates and their wives; it was seconded by Brother Bill Feck and was approved, with one nay vote from Brother Ralph Marshall.
GK urged members to move up in rank, noting that several need to make their Third Degree, and that the ceremonies are good to learn about officer responsibilities. He also called for members to step up and chair or otherwise get involved with Council activities.

Brother Tom Walker suggested that our Council adopt an 11-year-old girl from St. Petersburg as recipient of a $2800 wheelchair from our fund raising efforts.
Referring to a paper which was distributed among those present, Brother Chuck Bryan explained that as Warden of our Council, and in light of two disruptions which have taken place at our gatherings in recent weeks, “it is my duty to ensure that order is maintained, both at our council meeting and any additional gathering of our brother(s). This announcement is to ensure that we conduct ourselves as members of the Knights of Columbus. … May we focus on the work of God to serve our fellow human beings and bring God back into our world.”
